Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar, a British American artist and a sitarist is best known for her music. She is the youngest female and was the first person to be awarded a British House of Commons shield. Anoushka shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in London in 1982 and began her life by hopping back and forth to London in London and New Delhi. Her debut concert was in New Delhi at the tender 13 years old. In Encinitas the state of California, in 1999 she earned a high-school diploma. Even though she's very young, Anouskha has an impressive performing and recording record. She regularly performs alongside her father and has done so for a long time years. She released her debut self-titled album Anourag in 1998. In 2002, she released her Grammy nominated album Live At Carnegie Hall. The stage work she has done is extensive for she has performed in most of the biggest venues in the world. Anoushka Shakar's work is not only limited to music. Bapi the Love of My Live, a picture-biography that is dedicated to her father Ravi Shankar was published in 2002. In 2003 she starred as a Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. The career of Anoushka Shankar is in the process of developing and she'll continue to do many great things in the near future. Anoushka Shakar, born in England was a major part of her time between London Delhi. When she moved to California she completed the high school. In Delhi at his 75thbirthday celebration, Anoushka made her debut performing the sitar in front of an audience four years following her nine-year-old father. Alongside her father, he toured the world Anoushka had a wealth of experiences appearing on stage at Carnegie Hall while still in her teens, performing in Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival and recording with George Harrison. The youngest female to be awarded the House of Commons Shield, given by the British Parliament in recognition of her talent and musicianship in the Asian Arts.
