Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding psychologist since 1993. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer, has won numerous prizes and grants. She consults with numerous nations and organizations around the world on policies as well as the study of child abuse in the justice system. She is currently a advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
